Your Body Project: Terms of Service and Health Disclaimer

Version 1.2 · Effective 3 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Your Body Project ("YBP", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accessing the service, or purchasing a subscription, you accept these Terms and the Health Disclaimer below. If you do not accept, do not use the service.

1. What YBP is, and what it is not

1.1YBP is a fitness information and training-organisation tool. It generates strength-training suggestions from information you provide, including exercise selection, loads, volumes, rest, mobility drills, and adjustments based on your check-in answers.

1.2YBP is not a medical service. Nothing produced by the service, including any output of its programming engine, its readiness and pain check-ins, its mobility content, or its AI coach chat, is medical advice, physiotherapy, diagnosis, or treatment. YBP is not a healthcare provider, and no content in the service creates a practitioner-patient relationship of any kind.

1.3The service's adjustments in response to pain, soreness, or readiness answers are informational conveniences only. They do not assess, diagnose, or treat any condition, and you must not rely on them as a substitute for professional judgement.

2. Health Disclaimer and assumption of risk

2.1See a professional first. Before starting any training with YBP, and before acting on any suggestion it makes, you should consult a general practitioner or other qualified health professional, and you must do so if you have any medical condition, injury, or symptom, or any doubt about your fitness to exercise.

2.2See a professional when anything hurts. If you experience pain, injury, unusual soreness, dizziness, chest discomfort, breathlessness, or any other concerning symptom, stop training immediately and seek advice from a general practitioner, physiotherapist, or emergency services as appropriate. The service may respond to pain you report by adjusting or pausing programming; that response is a convenience, not an assessment, and it is never a reason to delay professional care. Health professionals are the experts. The app and its AI are not.

2.3The AI coach is not a clinician. The AI chat feature can explain the app and general training concepts. It must not be relied on for medical, injury, rehabilitation, nutrition, or medication questions. If you ask it such questions, its answers are general information only and may be wrong. Direct those questions to a qualified professional.

2.4Assumption of risk. Resistance training and physical exercise carry inherent risks, including muscle and joint injury, cardiovascular events, and in rare cases serious injury or death. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you voluntarily accept those risks when you choose to train, whether or not a session was suggested by YBP.

2.5Your information drives the output. Suggestions are computed from what you enter. Inaccurate, incomplete, or withheld information (including about pain, injuries, or health conditions) produces unsuitable suggestions. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for exercising your own judgement about what your body can safely do on any given day.

2.6Spotters, safeties, and training to failure. You are responsible for using a spotter and the safety mechanisms fitted to equipment (for example rack safeties or stops), particularly on loaded lifts and whenever you train near or to muscular failure. Where the service suggests high effort, you confirm you have those safeties and any spotter in place before proceeding, and you accept that responsibility for any injury from training to failure rests solely with you.

3. Release and limitation of liability

3.1To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YBP, its operator, owners, contributors, and advisers exclude all liability for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, your training decisions, or your reliance on any content or suggestion produced by the service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise.

3.2To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our election, to re-supply of the service or the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

3.3Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3.4You indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of false information, or your use of the service contrary to professional medical advice you have received.

4. Accounts and eligibility

4.1You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the service.

4.2One account per person; the account email identifies the account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure. Account access may use email links or third-party sign-in (for example Google or Microsoft); those providers' terms govern their services.

4.3Registration may be subject to approval. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, misuse the service, or present safety concerns.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

5.1Access to the service, or parts of it, requires a paid subscription, billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices, billing period, and any trial terms are shown at the point of purchase. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we do not store your card number.

5.2Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the billing portal linked in the app; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues to the end of the paid period.

5.3Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

5.4We may change prices with notice; changes apply from your next renewal. We may waive or discount fees for particular accounts at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use and content

6.1The service and its content (programming logic, text, imagery, and licensed third-party exercise media) are ours or our licensors' and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Do not copy, scrape, extract, redistribute, or resell content; do not use any content to train machine-learning systems; do not reverse engineer the service.

6.2Do not use the service to provide coaching or health services to third parties without a separate written agreement with us.

7. Service changes and availability

7.1The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and training data should not be treated as a medical record.

8. Privacy

8.1We collect and store the information you enter (including health-related inputs such as pain and soreness scores) to operate the service.

9. Changes to these Terms

9.1We may update these Terms. Material changes require your re-acceptance in the app before continued use; the version and time of each acceptance is recorded against your account.

10. General

10.1These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which YBP operates, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable it is severed and the rest continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

11. Health and wearable data

11.1If you connect a wearable device or a phone health platform (such as Google Health Connect, Apple Health, or a Garmin account), the app reads recovery and workout metrics you authorise: sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, step count, body weight, and, where your device provides them, stress and energy scores.

11.2These metrics are stored with your account and used to show you trends and to inform, never replace, your own daily readiness answers. Training adjustments driven by these metrics are conservative and always explained on screen. They are wellness features, not medical measurements, diagnosis, or treatment.

11.3You can disconnect a device or platform at any time in your device settings, which stops new collection. Deleting your account permanently deletes all stored health metrics with it, and your data export includes them.
